MW3 added a new brake setup for our E36 this week. We started with Zimmermann drilled rotors, drilled rotors do a better job of dissipating heat and gasses than solid rotors. Next step was Hawk HP Plus brake pads. HP Plus pads utilize a unique Ferro-Carbon, high-tech friction material that was developed and manufactured for autocross and track applications. Finish up with Motul RBF 600 brake fluid and you have a great brake setup ready and waiting for a beating.
If you were wondering, here’s the updates on the brakes and use on the track. They were AWESOME… No wierdness or overheating issues occured and there was a lot of deep braking in corners. I am pleased and would recommend to anyone if they were thinking about this setup.
