Looking Back, Looking Forward

It is with chagrin that we note it’s been far too long since we’ve posted here. No good reason, except delighted exhaustion. 2012 was a GREAT year for us here at MW3. Jim once again retained the TTA class championship in the NASA Rocky Mountain region. Christina obtained her rookie racing license with both BMW CCA and NASA. We’re very proud to have ended the season with such accomplishments under our belts.

So what are we planning for 2013? More-better-faster, of course! We know we’re not the only ones out there planning on going faster and winning championships.  So preparations are well underway to make sure we’re at the top of our game this upcoming season.

The Evo has been dieting: late last season Jim tore out the interior, installed a bolt-in roll cage and seats & harnesses from Corbeau. This season he’s installing Moton Clubsports (from Muellerized) on all four corners, a 12-plate rear differential, Whiteline’s Roll Center Adjustment and Bump Steer kits, and topping it off with a new tune by Tobz. It’ll be ready to eat the TT2 class competitors alive.

The E36 isn’t undergoing any major changes this year. An oil cooler has been installed to keep it running cool, regardless off track temps. And a new rain tire setup and TraqMate are imminent. Other than that, Christina is focused on making sure the driver is pushing the car to it’s limits; SCR Performance will be stepping in to assist her in learning the fine art of  racecraft. She’s going to be setting some new personal best times and giving the guys up front in GTS-3 something to think about.

The season opener at PPIR in Fountain with NASA will be here before you know it. We’re excited to see many of you out at the track again this season. Are you ready? We are!!
